It seems I can only get my act together to blog on Fridays these days. The Five on Friday link up is just too much fun to miss. I love reading what you all have to say on Fridays!
Today I thought I'd share five recent purchases I've made and loved.
I finally found bedside tables for our master bedroom. Our old bedroom was teeny-tiny and the tables we had were chosen because they were literally the only ones I could find that were narrow enough to squeeze in our small room. They look ridiculously tiny in our new, more spacious bedroom.
These were on clearance at Restoration Hardware and I got them for a steal. They'll be delivered on Tuesday. I'm already doing a little happy dance picturing them in our room.
I picked up this dress from a vintage clothes dealer at local antique mart. I love it.
Elizabeth pinned these beauties on Pinterest and from the moment I laid eyes on them, it was over. I had to have them. There was a Nordstrom gift card in my wallet so I didn't think twice. They should be waiting on the porch for me when I get home from work today. Oh happy day!
I've needed new jeans for some time. Between being heavier than I'd like before getting pregnant, being pregnant, and then slowly losing the baby weight and some of the extra pounds I was carrying pre-baby, I had a lot of different sized jeans hanging in my closet and very few of them actually fit. After I cleaned out the closet, my denim selection was sparse to say the least. I found two new pairs that I love.
These are the AG Tomboy Straight and I LOVE them. I wanted an alternative to skinny jeans and these are perfect. Relaxed but not baggy with the perfect amount of distressing.
These are Gap's Always Skinny jeans. They're skinny without looking painted on, have the right amount of stretch, and they're affordable. Most importantly, they don't look like mom jeans as so many of Gap's other styles tend to. And the distressing is more subtle than it appears in the picture. I hate the giant white stripe down the thigh look and in person, they definitely don't have that.
Finally, this little bundle of fall goodies was rounded up at Target and TJ Maxx and delivered to a neighbor.
Our street has a tradition where a welcome party is thrown for new people who move on to the block. The party is hosted by the family that most recently moved on to the street before the new family. Our next door neighbors hosted a great welcome party for us last month. Now it's our turn! A few weeks after we moved in, a family moved in down the street. I went down to talk with them about dates for their welcome party last night and brought this little package with me. I'm excited (and a little nervous) to plan their party in November. It really is the best street and I feel so lucky to have such wonderful neighbors.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
